biography & introduce
Ain Nurawanis Binti Ahmad Jais (also known as Wanis) graduated from Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) in 2022 with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons). She commenced her pupillage in October 2022 under the guidance of Dato’ Lawrence Chiong Sheng Fan, and completed it in July 2023. She was subsequently admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in August 2023.
She is a litigation lawyer with a dynamic practice in commercial and general disputes, regularly representing local and multinational clients before the High Court and the Court of Appeal, including cross-border litigation. Her experience includes successfully acting as lead counsel in a significant commercial dispute involving the enforcement of a foreign judgment on behalf of a UAE-based construction company at the Court of Appeal, advising and acting in Liquidated Agreed Damages claims involving multimillion-ringgit transactions, representing clients from China in property dispute involving specific performance, and successfully acting for Share Subscription Agreement dispute against a company incorporated in Nevada, United States. She also handles a wide range of domestic disputes, including debt recovery, contractual disputes, partnership and shareholder disputes, and defamation matters.
Beyond her legal practice, Wanis has been featured on RTM, TV3, and Astro Awani for her involvement in charitable initiatives and actively advocates for environmental legal awareness, particularly within the fast fashion industry.
