Team building @Desaru

On the 26^th and 27^th February 2025, Chiong & Partners held its annual team building with all its staff and lawyers. The firm chose Desa Ru, a beautiful seafront resort spot located in the state of Johor in Malaysia. Everyone enjoyed a day under the beautiful Johorian sun with thoughtful activities curated by our talented young lawyers aimed at discovering, learning and forging meaningful ties.

These two days were possibly the very rare occasions where one could witness our firm letting hair down, showing unseen side of personalities and having all guards down. If you want to see a playful lawyer, a ferocious secretary or a singer, a dancer, a clown? These were the days. Let’s just say, whatever happened in Desa Ru, stayed at Desa Ru. Spending time in nature doing physical activities did bring out the hidden sides of us.

Special thanks to the firm’s honorable guests Mr. and Mrs. John and Yeng Maxwell, who flew in from London to join the firm’s team building. The firm held an evening session with Mrs. Yeng Maxwell where she imparted her professional knowledge and personal journeys working for JP Morgan Chase. This was an immeasurable gift to the firm as we see this as our initiatives in molding the firm to go international. Our young talents had bonded very well with the Maxwells professionally and personally.
